"Ayran" - FPA von Dreger

I'm 68 - although I don't necessarily tell people that, because I prefer not to be expected to act like a 68-year-old 'ought to behave' in this culture.

Born of Viennese parents in Europe, emigrated to Canada with my immediate family of 6 in 1950. Studied History, Philosophy, and Political Economy at the University of Toronto. Lectured in Political Studies at the University of Prince Edward Island in Eastern Canada from 1971 to 1985 with lots of side activities in public policy areas, and Chaired the Department for several years.

'Dropped out'/escaped to Aotearoa/NZ in 1986 and was a - rather unconformist and provocative - member of the 'radical' Centrepoint Community until I helped having it restructured in 2000; and recently moved to Australia and retired myself in Lismore - about 45 Kms west of Byron Bay on the coast in north-eastern New South Wales - in 2007.

I've been calling myself a modern neo-pagan - essentially with the same perspective and world-view ( "Weltanschauung" used to be the older academic term for it ) - and am now glad to be able to use the current new term. The Brights. Great !!
