Um...what is this thing for?
Travis KnightI'm an 18 year old, freshly graduated Atheist. I live in a Christian Fringe family, and I've been "in mortal danger" since I was 14. I've decided that, frankly, there doesn't need to be a God for the world to make sense. I bleed Nieztsche. I'm going to college to obtain my teacher's certification in English and Humanities, and I'd like to play at least a tiny part in helping my children's generation to think for themselves. In the coming years, as we approach the theoretical Singularity, human dependence on technology is only going to become more and more hopeless, and I am terrified that our identity as living, breathing, THINKING organisms might get lost in the ever-quickening sweep of the technologically-driven information stream that we're all stuck in. Also, I've written three books, and I'm working towards my first publication. | New here? Create an account.
